What do you think will be some future trends on the internet? What will the next youtube or myspace be?
Live video streams are getting more popular, like online television and what not As for the more future than that, I can't help you, sorry, it would just be blind guesses
I agree, it's just guessing really, like picking your lottery numbers. Well, if we think about it logically I think we can narrow it down a bit. The unstoppable forces, as I see them, are: Myspace for Social Networking. YouTube for videos. Wikipedia for info. Google for search engine, so we can now cancel out those niches lol
A few years ago none of us had ever heard of youube or myspace, now they run our lives! Plus there are thousands of smaller sites like that, trying to capitalize on their sucess. There has to be something on the horizon as big as these type sites...what is it?!
It has to be something that is relevant to everyone in my opinion. For instance, I know of old women who use myspace and facebook, purely so that they can stay in contact with younger relatives. Youtube: there is something on YouTube for everyone, whether you want to sit their and laugh, or listen to classical music, there is almost everything on there. Wikipedia: every piece of info on there is relevant to someone. Google: so simple, anyone can use it. You have to ask yourself about how much hassle and money these companies went through to get where they are today. Someone needs to think up an idea thats relevant to everyone and is unique. They'll then need to advertise it and become the biggest type of site in that category, which, providing their idea is unique, it will probably be them.
I'm working on a custom MSN messenger / facebook mashup. I recieved lots of positive feedback drom dp and open source communities about my project and i'm guessing this will be a pretty big hit once i'm going to release it. The project is creating a messenger that incorporates features that facebook has and creating a community based on friends.
I think it will be some sort of virtual world like second life. Im surprised that has not made a bigger impact than it has.
you may be right it became alot bigger over the last year. I think onlinetv is a good market because you could even watch on your pda or mobilephone..... but it needs to be for free else nobody would care ...
