What do you guys think the future holds for 5 Numbers .com? I mean NNN.com are worth more than LLL.com, NNNN.com are worth more than LLLL.com, so if LLLLL.com is going to boom then NNNNN.com will happen faster. Also if LLL.com was great because a lot of businesses had acroynms with 2 Letters, then 5N will be great because of zip codes. At least better than 4N, not saying that 5N will be worth more than 4N, it probably not but it will have an advantage because it's zipcodes in many countries. So many been taken these past few days, in the next 24hrs, they will possiblilty be all gone. There are about maybe little less than 3,000 left right now. I just picked some up myself. What do you guys think? Check out this small list of avaible NNNNN.com left on this other thread. Hopes this helps somone ^_^! http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=6566085#post6566085 This accounts for I'd say about 1/3 of the one's left at the moment.
that's interesting to know and I want to buy more now... I think they have a big future going by what I have read lately!
I agree with DLM, there is nowhere to go but up with these, especially considering how any NNNN.com is worth $400+ now and the 5N.com's I would say have a bit more uses considering the zipcode, and also the fact that a lot of them can represent birthdates, which has a lot of value to a lot of people if they want to make a personal site about themselves...
They are all gone. I got in it a little bit late, didn't get to reg as many as I'd like so ended up paying a bit more than reg fee for the extra few I picked up.
Wow Im really liking these NNNNN.coms I picked up a bunch NNNNN.coms and just found out I got 1 us zip code and 2 kuwaiti zip codes, theres many gems kickin around in NNNNN.coms Cant wait till randoms are up to $50 per
For those of you that participated in the buyout, you may own Italian postal codes! Here's a list to check against your NNNNN.com's. I will try to post more lists in the future (Germany, Sweden, US, Italy, Kuwait, Czech Republic, and more all have 5-digit postal codes). The Kuwait list has already been posted.
There are 1,000,000 of them. I think they will be all registered at some point, just like the CCCC.com's (about 1,679,616 of them), but it may be a couple years down the road. The reason the NNNNN.com's were just all registered so fast is that there were very few of them (100,000 total) and under 20k were left as of two weeks ago. That's a very small number of outstanding domains (think of the 450,000+ LLLL.com's), plus NNNNN.com's represent many postal codes (US, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Brazil, Kuwait, italy, Sweden, etc.) so there are more uses for them than the NNNNNN.com's. Plus, the shorter the number the more uses for it.
If anybody is interested in seeing examples of developed NNNNN.com websites, I have analyzed the first hundred 1NNNN.com's over here, most of these are developed websites and you can see that they have been put to a variety of useful purposes.
I guess i should have said, that the buying price is $10 but with the registration for a year (they are expiring soon) would be about $20. Is that worth it?
I dont know if you want to spend $20 on random NNNNNs.. It would be more cost effective for you to find some random NNNNNs that have expired lately. The thing is that some people dont know NNNNNs are pickin up so they let them expire.. A zip code might be worth around $50 it really depends how big or little the city is. I would say at least $30 though.
Apparently, they are getting harder to get on the drops and the number of bidders is increasing, but you could try. I don't think I would consider selling any of mine for below $20 right now, if you do find some for less that would be a good deal in my opinion. A zip code in a good US city will be at least $1,000. There are reported sales of these from two years ago (before the buyout) at $2,500+. For smaller cities it may be less, but if you could get one for $30, that would be very good I think.
Very interesting, as my suspicion was also that most of these numbers are actually not used for zip codes but for chinese websites (numbers are quite popular here). I think in order to get the most out of a NNNNN.com address people should aim at the chinese/asian market and not the western market...
FYI. I just did an availability check at 7.15am (GMT) for a list of 5 alphanumeric length .com TLD's. The list was taken from my website (see my signature). Here is the attached list. Hope it will be of use to someone . Cheers.
