safe or not means??well SEO world may be different story altogether in coming years.it may be tough going ahead with may be new SE and more competition.

 

The best thing to do is try to build a brand that people recognize and type in their browser....not just luck and find you in the search engines....because the future of seo is only going to get tougher....So build a brand that can easily be shared and adds value to the web

 

Exactly. SEO is simply a method to get search engine traffic...that generates leads...that build your brand...that increases sales.

as a seo consultant its a good demand since very few people now in seo field.

 

Geo-Targeting and Personalized Search results are going to be the next biggest thing SEO's will have to deal with.

My next door neighbor and i may search the same keyword, yet receive completely different results due to past browsing habits. Predicting what the user wants and serving results tailored for the individual conducting the search will make information "highly" targeted. People want more relevant results, and Google is working hard to be the first to deliver.

Your PR0 website may trump a PR10 because it better serves the searchers habits, so out the door goes things like backlinks and Pagerank.

Think about it.

 

Well I think building a brand that everybody knows and trust is the key.

The competition online get harder and harder.

I think for now seo consultants is a big thing not much people understand it.

Big companies are see that it is important to list in the top pages for organic listing.

But building a brand and building trust is far more better than seo.

If Google keeps dictating it will end as all the dictator ended.

I think that all the SEO's will join the happy party that mediates between a buyer and a seller -> in other words brokers. You know, like: real estate brokers, investment brokes...

 

heck! i have no idea what would be the future. but i'm sure i'm still ranking #1 in my keywords that time

 

SEO is always going to be needed, but be aware it takes abit to keep up. As another person posted I believe "Geo-Targeting and Personalized Search" will become more and more popular. In google things like youtube, google maps etc will also start to play a more important role as google tries to cross promote there additional sites and services as much as possible to close those markets up.

SEO will definitely grow and there will be a great demand for SEOs in the future.

I agree with the previous posts by several gentlemen that Branding is more important than SEO.
