Sorry I know this is not related to HTML but i believe this is the closest topic I can include

Basically what happens is I have a habit for when I open a window, rather than opening and then click "back" provided there are number of items I want to see such as in Ebay, I would right click on the mouse and click on "Open Link In New Window". Maybe I would open like 10 of them or 5 of them at the same time. I close them when I finish reading or browsing. I do the same steps again. I think maybe around the 50th or 60th time, when I start to open the new link, either when I open the new link, the new basically cannot open the link AT ALL and you can feel it's kinda stuck as I maybe opened too many times even though I closed them before? I dunno.

I know the only solution is to restart it again. The reason why I get fustrated is becasue I hate to restart it again after doing 50th time especially when I am doing soome browsing or research. It applies on my computer as well as some of the other computers I've used such as my friend's computers, library etc, it would happen the same. But in a few places that I used the computer, no matter how many times I open a new link, it is NO problem at all so i thought maybe there is some settings going on I need to set that caused that?.

I dunno if anyone of you had this experience or know what I am even talking about. I just want to know how to resolve it becasue i want to open a new link without having to kinda get jammed or unopened after the 50th or 100th time and the solution is to restart the computer

Any answer or help will be fully appreciated

    Thanks and cheers

Rather than opening new windows, why don't you just open a new tab? That way you have one instance of the browser running with each tab containing its own Web page that can be opened and closed as needed.

I think the question becomes what browser? I've not seen that behavior out of IE, but old school 1.x firefux you could by opening and closing windows and/or tabs lock that pig up tight. (oh, I'm sorry, hang it up) - even the 2.x branch does that to me after 20 to 40 minutes of my use.

That's under 1.5 (though 2.x still does it), WinXP Pro, 2 gigs RAM, only page open at that time being google. I can also recreate the same circumstances under linux and OSX on different machines so it's my browsing habits it doesn't like... I wouldn't even have that broken bloated pile of crap INSTALLED if I wasn't using it to test pages I write - frankly the killing it every 20 minutes via task manager is getting a little tired.

Of course, according to them it's probably another "feature".
