Furl, How to get free high PR links.

    Based on This Thread

Furl.net is a site that allows internet browser the abilitly to bookmark their pages. Why people use this? I dont know.

Why should everyone on this forum be using it? Free high PR backlinks.

    Heres how to do it.

    Go to furl.net

    Sign up and download/install toolbar.

    Close browser and reopen.

Go to all of your sites and bookmark them. Dont make it private because I dont think it will work that way.

When you save your site it basically makes a page on furl for that site.

    Now go back to http://www.furl.net/home.jsp

    Click My Archive Tab
    Then My Topics
Select the category you placed them in.
Click on the link that you placed. Here is your static URL

Also when you are at the homepage you can see recently added, hit click more. I am not sure how many pages this keeps track of but it looks like a ton and they are all PR6 pages as far as I seen. I got bored hitting click more. Also these links are static.

    Finally, Do these get indexed?

    furl.net/members/your member name/
page gets indexed, what else does I dont know

    *DISCLAIMER*
I am just stating how the person in the topic referenced got indexed. The only way that I see right now is because the site got spidered while he was in the new additions page. Therefor you "could" spam the site and keep getting your site on the list but would not recommend it. This is how I believe people are getting indexed.

    Enjoy :)

Despite the PR7, I wonder what value Google (and others) gives to such a link.

Have you noticed any benefits ? such as faster indexing of your pages, changes in your ranking...?

Normally, a PR7 link should be 'visible' in your ranking

Interesting, Im gonna watch the topic and Zapita's results. Question though, if the toolbar is removed, do the links get removed as well? So you'll have the links only as long as you have their toolbar?

The link stayed on the PR 6 page for less than 30 seconds then on my member page its a redirect so it won't help PR at all.

To effectively do this we need to all furl each other. May start a Furl Swap thread or something. If we get enough people we all may be able to stay on the favorites list. Daily/Weekly would be easy but Monthly should be the goal.

Spurl (at Spurl.net) seems to be a similar service (with a similar name :D).

Didn't try either yet though... I don't think it's worth the hassle...

Chances are sooner or later they will change all their outgoing links from static to dynamic. Too much room for abuse from spammers. Doesn't hurt to try though :D

What is the problem with publically posting them? Most of them are very popular anyway (or otherwise they wouldn't be high PR) ...

Aaron, it worked! I ran seo elite, and found a PR7 backlink to my site from FURL.. cool. This is working so far. Maybe we all should add a few other sites to our furl list so that it won't be detected.

Hasn't anybody seen if it has any effect on their pagerank though?? And can you uninstall the toolbar and still have your site listed???
