So I see some inbounds from www.nsa.gov ... and at least for a second, I'm thinking "why the heck is the National Security Agency linking to www.komar.org ?" ... but a quick check of the 17 inbounds shows the same IP address from the UK, so someone was having a little fun setting the referrer in Firefox.
That's funny. I had the same thing happen to me once. I even paid a visit to the referring site and did a search for my link in their source, just to make sure. hehe
He he, bet the nsa heard of an unidentified big green thing seen in your neighborhood. A grown up version of the little green men from outer space. Shannon
I've had experience with referrer log spam and I see the occasional "none of your business" as the referrer and/or User Agent, but yea, this one was pretty funny. smyrl: Pretty funny comment - yea, maybe they are concerned about the Big Green Guy ... I actually wondered for a millisecond if the NSA was concerned about my satellite photos since some of those are from non-public sources ... ;-) For those interested (in case you see it), the source IP address was 80.192.5.229 which resolves as 80-192-5-229.cable.ubr02.glen.blueyonder.co.uk ... so I commend the person over in Jolly 'ol England with a sense of humour.
Sure it wasn't the NSA, making you think it was someone in England, pretending to be the NSA? Perhaps they wanted BGG for themselves. Imagine the look on some terrorist's face, not having grown up on comic books, cartoons, parade balloons, and TV coming over the hill and seeing that...
