I was looking around Google Web Master Tools and saw a link from Wikipedia which I was surprised to see. I went to the page and saw a punitive little page saying something about external links are not some directory for your links blah blah blah. Many months ago I saw external links that were going out to some good sites so I added a few in to my sites where reasonable. One stayed for a long time and was even put back on by the primary editor but I thought all my links form Wiki were gone.

Alas it looks like they have a permanent link back to me, someone is scolding me but thanks for the link. It's nofollow but it's data for a bot. :D

You probably know how hard it is to keep a link on Wiki. Google knows this as well. If a links stays for a very long time on Wiki, I couldn't imagine Google assigning authority value to the linked site.
