Selling Funny Image script shop - $3,000+ sales in 18 months

This site has made over $3,000 in 18 months with very little effort. In fact since the first week of opening when I added a google adwords voucher, I have done nothing with it since.

The script is a funny image script which are proving to be very popular at the moment due to social media and the viral effect which can bring in huge click through rates with adverts.

The site works in auto pilot - so when a new order is placed the sale is verified and then the script is available to download from the users member area. Currently the script has license code built in, so the only manual step is to send this code to the user. This step can also be automated but I chose to do this manually so I could double check orders before sending any keys.

I need to sell this site as I recently lost my day job, the monthly sales aren't enough alone so I need to sell the site and release some funds to tie me over.

Proof of income can be provided, PM me if you want more information.

    Offers welcome

    I have few questions:
    - Is the traffic organic or paid advertising?
    - Isn't there any trademark issue for using the "damnlol" name on your site/domain?

I used a couple of adwords vouchers i bought from DP in the beginning but nothing since then, all organic now. I havent used any advertising in well over a year.

damnlol isnt a registered trademark, so there can never be any infringement. To better answer your question, I've had zero problems using the name in the entire time the site has been running.

do you use google analytics on the website? I want to see traffic in detail. If google analytics is not installed then deploy it and contact me after 5 days to see the traffic in detail.

how the payments for the website are accepted? Send revenue proof for past 6 months.

I'm curious. If the website made $3,000 with "very little effort" and the only marketing expense was a free "adwords voucher" why haven't you taken the logical step to apply a little more effort to produce $1,600 instead of simply selling it for that amount?
Do you believe the profit from the sale will be easier and supersede the potential?

If it was me...I would retract the sale and apply a reasonable amount of effort to 1. increase the profitability of the web site and 2. increase the value of the business until you feel you have peaked with your potential. Have you peaked?

I had no intention of selling it initially but as I lost my job recently I have no immediate source of income, granted I couldnt live off the sale for long but it would help.

I know very little about marketing or seo, my knowledge extends as far as a few adword vouchers and hoping for the best.. which worked initially but now I cant add any more vouchers from here so I'd have to pay the full price - Im not confident to know enough about keywords and the like to take full advantage of the campaigns when paying full price. When it was a couple of $ per $100 voucher, I had little to lose.

Had I not have landed in the position that I am in I would probably have tried to pay for someones servicesto assist me, but even then I may not see that return straight away.

So in my opinion and in my situation I dont have the option right now to maximize the revenue from the site, if it doesnt sell on here then I will pick it back up again when Im in a better position to do so.

I appreciate that you feel the site is worth holding on to, thanks for your feedback

None, and as I said before there would be no reason why I would, its not a registered trademark. Secondly there are no patents or trademarks on the way and the layout of displaying images in such mannor, so again there is nothing that could be infringed.

You can't live for $160 per month and selling this for $1600 which could have been covered if this all real. You drive 25 visitors daily and made $160 per month, that seems very high conversion rate. Explain this to me and sen for how much lowest would you go for this website? and will you transfer the adwords accounts with sale?

If he only received 25 daily visitors for 90 days that's 2,250 visitors. If they are relevant and looking for that type of script to buy a 2.5% conversion rate isn't anything to be alarmed about. ($49/sale. 61 sales. $49x61=$2,989).

Personally I don't believe he easily generated the traffic with very little effort to produce $3k in sales (if he produced that). I would suggest a serious buyer to request proof via p2p screensharing and not text/video/image.

I don't agree with you ..cos conversion rates does not relate to number of visitors..I have site that gets 3 to 4 visitors a day from search engines (my key word ranks #1 in search listings) and the conversion rate is around 70%..i.e 3 out of 4 visitors convert for me !

Im not sure how I can show im telling the truth, except if you are genuinly interested then tell me what you would like to see and I'll either do a teamviewer session with you or if its something like analytics I know I can add accounts for people to log in themselves, if someone can confirm adwords is the same then Im happy to enable that too.

@Jin Well - I'd be happy to transfer everything that is and has been related to this site, however, the adwords and adsense are all linked under one account which I use. I would either need to transfer these google products to you if thats possible or clear the remaining products and hand over the account.. im not sure what the options are here. Offers are welcome, please PM me if you have an offer in mind and we can discuss

The conversions: the site sells a php script, its extremely obvious by the name what the site does. When you type in google damnlol script or damnlol clone the site ranks well, so the user already has a motive and is actively looking to purchase or looking for comparison. I struggle to see how you would just 'stumble' on to this site, I dont see any other reason why someone would visit this site.

Im happy to show/provide as much access to whatever a genuine buyer would want to see, I would expect the same if I were buying a site from someone.

I agree. We created a landing page for an auto dealership and the conversion rate for leads were around 20% with our Adwords campaign. Roughly 10% of those leads turned in to sales for them.

Is it true that this site made only 800 in the last year ? I saw an auction on flippa where you were claiming that you made 2200 in the 1st 6 months. What are the last 6 months montly revenue ?
