a new small modification has also been made.
To show that even the color on the wall can be changed, the writing has been changed from white into a random set of dark colors.
This look and feel now matches a more realistic wall writing (as not all use the same exact color).

PS: the wall is now made of more than 200 bricks

 

Quick query: I know you are selling the script to the buyer, but will you sell the script again to someone, or will this be a unique sale?

And this is really the latest I do, as this project took too much of my time but I though this can come handy for the new owner.
The site now features previous filled walls. Whenever a wall has 60 bricks, this wall is considered to be completed and moved with its links into the archive. This will limit the amount of image and links displayed on each page. And when a wall is moved to the archive, its page will always contain the same snapshot of links, making it a real archive.
Also, mod_rewrite was used to link to these old built walls.
ex: http://www.wallbricks.info/wall/1/ the very first filled wall

This turned into a very funny construction game at the end of the day

 

What sort of processing power / server requirements are needed?

Well I can't exactly predict the trend of the site if it becomes very popular or so.

But the addon I did above, which was a major one, was to limit the number of bricks on the main page. At first, all bricks were on one page. If each brick image is 6KB and if the site reaches 1000 bricks, that'd be 6MB at every visit.
So now, I introduced the multiple walls archive etc, so at maximu, they'd be 60 brick images loaded, amounting to less than 400 KB in size. This is very low.

As for processing, the use of functions is very moderate, but again, it all depends on how well the site performs. It can very well run on shared hosting, but if it were to receive 1000 uniques or so per day lets say, a vps would be good, like would the case be for any other site.

So as you see, requirements aren't something really different from other normal sites in my opinion, but all depends on traffic trends.
