How can I promote this blog? It is a fun project based on my thought the other day: 'If everyone spares me their change, I would be rich, and noone else would be effected' the URL is http://www.spareyourchange.blogspot.com How shall I promote it? I've set up a little thing where people that give their spare change can have their link mentioned, and people that give over $5 in change get put on the links list. What are your ideas?
has been done before many times over. The concept of donate your change is old. You need to come up with any interesting twist to make it work. Dont ask me what the twist should be, if i knew, i woulkd have already done it.
Promoting a blog is no different from promoting a website. 1. Creat content 2. Link building (directory submission, link exchnage, articles, forum posting, etc. 3. Create content and update your website, 4. Link building (refer point 2). 5. Create content. With that process also make sure your website follows other SEO standards.
I'd say whatever you do get a domain name. It makes you look more professional. I would agree, having a unique idea is cool, but I think this one needs a twist or an overhaul. you could always set a point for the total. When it is reached have a poll to choose a charity for a percentage of the money to go to...a possibility
Ideas of this type (eg. milliondollarhomepage) promoted as far as I know with press releases and ebay auctions. Maybe you should try those, but before that you should propably make your site look more proffessional.
