I would like google to index my entire website, which is a couple of hundred pages, but will grow to a thousand or more over time. All my pages are unique content. Will google index all my pages or do I need to get deep links? I do have a site map, and submitted it to the google webmaster site. Cheers
if you submitted your sitemap, then google will index it. if you have some external links linking to your pages, it will be indexed faster and higher in the search result. i've submitted 225k pages to google sitemap, but only 76k added. and this is like 2 months ago.
I use a sitemap.php script which auto generates the list each time it is called, as my page data is stored in a database. No page limit on it.
Even with a sitemap, it will take time for Google to index all those pages. The Googlebot may even visit all the pages several times before they start getting indexed. Having a higher Pagerank will give you better deep page indexing. One way to "help" the Googlebot out is to put all your pages within 2-3 clicks of one another, and try to get a majority of pages within 2 clicks of the home page. I've had success doing that with sites that have thousands of pages indexed.
