Full url or local directory?

    Lately I've been monitoring a few sites and they seem to use full domains within their dofollow navigation links such as:

    <a href="http://domain.com/nav.html">
    HTML:
    instead of

    <a href="/nav.html">
    HTML:
    Do the full urls help with passing weighting for the anchor to that page?

    That is a very good question. A subtle but important question.

    I believe Google's robot would follow the URL and find its destination, so I am 99% sure it would pass the full page rank to the destination page.

    Someone back me up on this?

    well it also part of on page optimization.. both works but the shorter one means short crawling for bots... which makes it more SE friendly..
