How much you think it is to hire a full-time PHP programmer?
How much you think a programmer from India who is a pretty good developer would charge monthly? I know during this time of the recension, they should be cheaper.

Depending on how well based a business is, the "recension" may not affect its pricing plans.
I personally am not considering changing my web development rates. At least not to the lower side.

The pay is depend on the complexity of the project. Now company prefer to hire contract programmer than full time programmer coz its more cheaper in cost. And its also good to programmer coz it have flexible working time and can earn more by bidding job at freelance site.

If you are using freelance sites to hire programmers then it will depend on the rating that freelancer have. If he have high ratings, then he will charge more. I suggest you try to find a freelancer who have no or less ratings. There are many new comers who have good experience in PHP but they will work for cheap rates in order to earn ratings.

Depends on experience and quality. Look at rentacoder.com for ballpark figures. Anywhere from $7-$30/hr.

It depends on the professional. My country is also an outsourcing destination and I charge most of my clients 30$ per hour. Of course I have an university degree and some years experience. There is no "recension" around me so I don't charge any cheaper than usual.

Also it depends on the kind of work. I charge more for Java projects, less on PHP. Also it depends on how complex is the project. For easy project that only needs time I charge less. For half written projects with fixing spaghetti code I charge more.

Also hiring a person for 500$ a month for 6-8 hours don't guarantee you that this person will code for you all this time even if he is online on some messenger. More likely if you pay 5$ for something you will receive work for 5$ ... (There is no guarantee that if you pay 5000$ you will get something different, sadly)

And good developers usually are not idiots to work cheap even if they are not from your country. (I am not from India but my country is a little alike)

For the kind of work that will require a full time programmer, expect to pay at least 30 per hour on the lower side.. My Company hire out for as much as 80 on TNM basis..
