I am looking for software that captures a full web page as an image, not just the visible area.

    Does anyone have recommnedations?

Are there any freebie software options out there?

At our company, we've always used CamTasia - which has EXCELLENT compression and very scalable. You might be able to hook into this apps API or run it command-line so you could make it web-driven if you want :)

    Thanks for the info.

In my case, I need to capture long lists of stats and other information that is behind a secure login. Web based solutions where you enter a URL may not work.

It looks like both SnagIt and Camtasia are both TechSmith products. I will look into those.

This is what i use for excatly for what your talking about capturing pages of stats etc...

"Screengrab saves entire webpages as images.

Just install it, make sure Java is configured (Java absolutely necessary), and right-click on a page.

You can save the entire page as an image (it scrolls around the page taking shots and stitches it together), just the visible portion, or the browser window."
