Hi I recently moved server and made a full backup, cpmove file, which i downloaded. I then created an account on the new server and uploaded the file to the root, and went to my WHM and tried to backup the file, but it cannot find it ??? See the message below, i tried creating one of the file in the below error but still no luck I will give a free featured link in the directory once its restored, to the first person who can help me find a solution, its quite a decent directory ! Thanks Marx Searching /home.... No Restorable archives found! Searching /usr/home.... No Restorable archives found! Searching /web.... No Restorable archives found! Searching /home2.... No Restorable archives found! Searching /home3.... No Restorable archives found! Searching /root.... No Restorable archives found! Searching /usr.... No Restorable archives found! No archives where found!! This feature will restore full backups, cpanel backups and cpanel move files in the format of: cpmove-user.tar.gz, user.tar.gz, backup-date_time_user.tar.gz The files must be in one of these directories on the server: /home,/usr/home,/web,/home2,/home3,/root,/usr You must upload the file to one of the above locations before using this feature.

none of these directories exist ? i tried creating the folder under the account and uploaded the file there and tried the restore again but it still did not work
No, do not create that directories in the account. You need to create it from the root directory for it to work. There should be an existing /home directory in your server by default. Basically, what I will do is to do a Backup from my current site to a space in the new server. Then SSH into the VPS/Server and move it from the folder it got uploaded to into /home2 folder which I created. Then run the Restore. It works great even for very big files.
So you have to create the file in the root direcroty of the server ? because when i go there it only has a few foldes, : Scripts Scripts/command Scripts/command?pfile Faviconico It will not let me create another foler ?
marx, are you just ftp'ing into your server? you need to login via SSH (shell) as 'root' user to access /home etc.. are you familiar with ssh/putty?
Spot on chilli source changed the settings on my cuteftp pro to connect to the server via ssh, and bingo I found correcy folders. Chilii if you want submit a site to the directory in my sig, pm me the url and I will accept it
