fuckbook.com - 8'500$ too expensive?

Hi everybody,

I recently bought fuckbook.com for 8'500$, do you think that was too expensive? I really wanted that domain, beacause I'm gonna build up a social community, that goes around meeting people for sex (like fuckbuddies.com, only much better). What do you think?

It all depends on the quality of the site you wrap around that domain name. That $8500 might go down the drain... or you may be able to turn it into a huge investment. Just make sure you spend quality time in the development of it. Best of luck

 

nice name, but seems bit way too much for me. but if you got the idea & big investment to develop & promote it as a facebook in the niche then its worth it
are you getting any traffic from people just typing the domain name as it is bit similar to faceBook

I have to agree with estibot here I think paying $8,500 was waaaaay to much for this domain name!

 

Using an auto evaluation site automatically makes your opinion not worthy.

FaceBook.com makes this domain worth a lot more than it normally would be. You could make the $8500 back easily with this domain. You would only have to spend a few months advertising then after that its all viral like facebook traffic is. Sex sells.

 

True auto appraising is only a crude guide. I do some of my domain
speculation through Namebio,com for an estimate on domain names.
I think in this case through fuckbook.com was sold at an inflated
price. My instinct would place the domain at about the $2,000.00/
2,500.00 mark. But as you know in the domain aftermarket it's the
desirability of the buyer/s that can drive the name up in its sales
value. Here's a similar domain name I found in the Namebio database;

realfucking.com sold $2,800 on the 1/24/07

As for return on investment (ROI) I think it may take a several months to
make up based on its PR, Alexa etc.

 

it is nice domains, getting about 50 visits and 1,xxx,xxx rank in alexa

On fuckbuddies.com I don't see a site at all besides a bunch of links on the homepage to a bunch of affiliate sites.

As for the name, I think it's decent but personally, I feel it was purchased at a high price.

 

i agree with "immortality", its a great name to take advantage of facebook in a viral marketing campaign. there are loads of people in facebook looking for men/women
they will flock into your site once initial boom is given
