    Hello,

I am a programmer and came up with the idea of setting up a web server. I set it up with FTP and FTPS so people can connect securely. I was thinking of charging $10 a month for 100GBs. I was also thinking of making a syncing program so you could put files in a folder and it would upload it to the server and download on other computers. What do all of you think of this idea? Is the price good? Please give me truthful and honest answers. If its a good idea I will set it up for access by anyone. Reply if you might even buy space.

So basically FTP with the price of $10? People can get it free though. And just pay for servers.

The competition for online storage is fierce these days, even Google just launched their plan which gives 5gigs free I believe and 25gigs for 3-4 dollars. I don't think $10 is bad for a 100 gigs but I think you need to expand access to it with beyond just FTP, make a dropbox like solution of drag and drop and maybe you can start marketing it. Also bandwidth limits should be listed if there is any.
