ftp permissions

    If i make ew ftp account and give him permission to enter only 1 folder,how to restrict him for viewing/downloading some folders/files on that main folder?

    Yes, you can set permissions with ftpaccess files.

    I can see in cpanel -> ftp -> when i click on ftp account i get like -> ftp configuration files is that it? because when i download it (.xml) i got like 10-15 lines and there is no easy guide what to set to denie access for some folder/files.

    try cpanel --> file manager - you can set permissions there too and much easier

    change the permission of those folders which you want to restrict the FTP user.

    if you both mean chmod 777,755 etc isnt that same? I can chmod file to any number but its same because if i give somoene this ftp account he can easily download every file he wants.

    Example,if you have this ftp account how i can restrict you from downloading files in red colour?

    changing permission for index.php will affect the webpage ... could you please let me know which php handler are you using ?

    i dont know what is php handler^^

    I just dont know if i make and give someone new ftp account just to edit or make something on my web how to protect from him to download my whole work,thats my main problem.
