fsockopen() access denied

    hi ,

    i am trying to use fsockopen() and i am getting the following error


    Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to api.mailchimp.com:80 (Permission denied)

    Please advice ASAP,

    It seems the remote host is actively refusing the connection so it's probably not an error from your end. Your best bet is to mail them and ask for support.

    It's also possible that fsockopen is not allowed on your server. If you are on a shared hosting account it's pretty common for it to be restricted.
