[FS] PR3 Proxy Site (over 7000 uniques this month!)

Discussion in 'Sites' started by Fedorpheux, Nov 28, 2007.

I am selling one of my proxy sites so I can get some funds for some other projects. The site is:
    http://www.awesomeproxy.info

General Information: Site started in September and I have advertised it using a few different methods, paid and free (like submission to proxy topsites, mailing lists, etc). The buyer of this could easily continue doing this and make good money with this site.
Domain: Registered at NameCheap (free push)
Revenue Sources: The main two revenue sources are Google Adsense and Adbrite.
Traffic: This site has already used over 50 gigs of bandwidth for the month of November. Make sure you have sufficient resources to host it.
What I am selling: I am selling the domain name (free push on NameCheap), all of the files for the site (I will zip them up and have you download them from somewhere), and complete control of the site (you can alter it however you want).
Payment: I only accept PayPal. If you really want, I could accept a check but you'd have to wait for me to receive it through the mail and deposit it in my bank.

    Proof of traffic and revenue:
    Google Pagerank 3
    Google Adsense for October ($13.83)
    Adsense for November ($16.00)
Traffic (Averaging 522 daily visits for November)
I don't have my Adbrite channels set up properly to show you revenues just from this site, but anybody who is familiar with using Adbrite on proxy sites should realize that this site produces significant income from that program ($10+ a month).

Asking Price: This site is certainly growing (as you can tell by the traffic stats) and already has PR3. The monthly revenue (Adsense + Adbrite) is around $25 and it is growing.
    BIN (Buy It Now): $50
    Starting bid: $5
    Increments: $5

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have either in this thread or through PM.

I'm a bit confused regarding your bid amount, Mr.Bill (starting bid is $5 and increments are $5).

The Emirates Gallastico currently has the highest bid at $5.

LOL, I see the bid amounts are higher now but have a question, Why would I have to start at $5? A starting bid is there so people dont start with lowball offers. So with what you explained webwiz is the high bidder since jojodungy jumped it up to 25 and skip 15 & 20?

    Good luck with the sale

I'll attempt to answer all the questions in the thread:

The template is not unique, but it is one that I have found to provide a pretty good CTR. The new owner can change it to whatever they want.

    The script used is PHProxy.

Some traffic is organic and some is paid for (proxy mailing lists, proxy topsites, etc). I will let the new owner know generally what I have been doing to drive traffic to the site.

The auction ends when the BIN is reached, likely today.

The BIN has been offered through PM so this site is currently pending sale.

It's not so much that you had to start at $5 but I wanted increments of $5 (I didn't want to end up selling the site for something like $39.45). If you had initially bid $15, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. I don't mean to be picky, but I do intend to be consistent with what I say in my own posts (especially in Buy, Sell, or Trade threads).
