Overview:
I am looking to sell one of my best ever proxy site. What's my reason?
I need the money to invest in a project.

Site receives around 300-400 unique visits daily. Most of them are return visitors.
Adsense receives around 4K impressions daily on average and earns around $7 on average.
According to the screenshot, the proxy earned a decent $20. But, I guess my account was smartpriced, and I earned much less with about double the clicks.
However, the earning is still decent enough.
Traffic is constant, and I can guarantee that.

In total, the cost incurred was $50 average. The ROI is good, seeing that I've recovered my costs in just a week.

*IMPORTANT* I started the advertising and newsletter advertising on 17th. Before that, I relied on proxy topsite submissions, stumbles, and natural traffic. It brought in sh*t! So I decided to advertise.
That's why awstats might seem low on the first days of the month.


Let's say, $50 in 7 days, would be equal to $200 in a month +/- $20 or so.
So, here's the auction details

In addition to this, the site does receive a good amount (around 20-40%) of traffic via search engines and some of it is direct traffic (bookmarks or repeat visitors).

P.S: I guess the BW usage is not too much because I set up the maximum downloadable data to 512KB in the index.php.
I've just set it to -1 to see if it has any effect.

I'll bid $40 for it. I know your starting bid is $60, but most of your traffic/revenue is from purchased ads which won't last long.

 

As I said, many of the visitors have bookmarked the site and I DO get a decent amount from direct address (type ins) rather than being referred from other sites. Purchased ads are just for a boost of traffic. Even after purchase ends, the traffic keeps coming in.

I see you have a channel set up for the proxy. Can you put up channel stats screenshots rather than all-sites-earnings screenshot, please?

300-400 UV per day and 4K-6K impressions per day just doesn't seem right. Usually when it comes to proxies, UVs are more than Adsense impressions, because many visitors arrive directly to a proxified page of the site (through bookmarks).

 

Please look at the attached thumbnail in my post which has the channel stats only for Rule Breakers.
As for your issue of 300-400 UV's not matching with the 3-4K impressions. Each ad unit counts as an impression to begin with. I had 3 ad units running on the previous theme and I just reduced it to 2.
Moreover, the second top visiting country is Saudi Arabia, and I believe they arrive on the main page each and every time they need to surf a new site. I say this because I know it from many friends of mine.

"A page impression is generated every time a user views a page displaying Google ads. We will count one page impression regardless of the number of ads displayed on that page. For example, if you have a page displaying three ad units and it is viewed twice, you will generate two page impressions and six ad unit impressions."

I appreciate your BID, but please stop trying to trash my thread. You've got a proxy sales thread too. How would you feel if people just came up and tried criticizing and finding every tiny flaw and fact in your site(s)??

according to your screenshot, you made $20 on your first day with 2200-ish (17th), then your profit went down ever since (even with more impressions)... that is probably why people do not wish to bid. If your profits were going up, that might be a different story. Seeing as you have been smartpriced, buying it for so high is a bit of a waste.. so i'll pass.

Ok, I'll take your advice.

Well, even though my profits went down, they have been at a constant $3-4 a day. So, you can expect to make atleast that much daily.
However, I've reduced the BIN price.

The domain itself is over 1 year old. It has been different sites over the past, however, I just setup a proxy script on it in the beginning of November.
Concerning your traffic question, I've already outlined my sources of traffic in the first post.
While atleast 50-70% of traffic should remain constant after advertising has expired, I'd say, maintaining a Bolded Listing on Proxy.Org for a couple of months should do the trick.

Well, basically, when an Adsense publisher account is smartpriced, you earn lot less per click then you did before. The reason behind being smartpriced is that the clicks generated via your Pub-ID are not converting for the advertisers, thus google discounts the clicks from that Pub-ID at your expense.
You can easily see if you've been smartpriced by looking at the eCPM rates.

You CAN get un-smartpriced, but I've no idea how

Anyway, here's a break down of adverts again.
I bought a $20 bolded listing on Proxy.Org which lasts for 1 month.
On average, 60% of my traffic was from Proxy.Org on the first few days. After which, it decreased to 50% or so, because I was getting a lot of direct traffic too.

Other than that, I advertised on the following newsletters..
ProxyAnnouncer (http://ads.proxyannouncer.com/)
ProxyShout (http://www.proxyshout.com)
PromoteProxy (http://www.promoteproxy.com)

The total cost of advertising to the 3 newsletters was $30. Means, on average, $10 per newsletter. I sent out my proxy atleast 4 times on each newsletter on different days. This means, maximum exposure incase the previous newsletters were missed.
And, these newsletters also brought in a decent amount of first time visitors.


Regarding profit made, I still have about 3 weeks of advertisement in Proxy.Org remaining and maybe 2 or 3 newsletters pending. I've already recovered my invested amount of $50 as you can see in about a week.

EDIT: I also receive about 20% of visitors from search engines. Though I personally believe that search engines are bad for proxies.
