Frustrated

I guess YPN just doesn't have the ability to show relevant ads on an aquarium fish related site. I am frustrated with it and I have removed most of the ads now. Once I get my directory done I might just post them on there. Anyone else finding the relevancy to be terrible?

I don't know, my community for teens has ads for invetro fertalization... maybe some of them aren't having babies quick enough.

    Try ad targeting tool https://publisher.yahoo.com/portal/cm/AdTargeting.php

It helped my photography site when it was getting ads about loans to photography ads, but some were still irrelevant. But yes, it's very frustrating. And even more frustrating that they are banning people for giving bad conversions, how are good conversions possible with irrelevant ads? =(

Ad Targeting doesn't seem to help much.

Have you ever tried adbrite? It's really great in my opinion, you get really good colors.

Adbrite's biggest downfall is the payout amount. Its only a fraction of what I get from Yahoo.

Yahoo doesn't approve many sites (proxy sites, hacking sites, warez forums, etc.)

Lots of things need to be fixed at YPN. Relevancy is a major problem.

But it is still in BETA, so you get to play along with whatever they want to do.

For me I have pulled most of my YPN ads, and just leave up enough to keep the stats ticker counting and not get bumped out of the program.

Yahoo is going to take their time and do whatever they want until they have the program doing what they want. We are mere pawns.
