I have uploaded a froogle feed for the first time, only to find it had increased all my prices?! I deleted it and re-did it, checked the .txt doc and they were correct, but when I uploaded it again, it did the same.....anyone any ideas what on earth it is (or i am?!) doing
It doesn't add sales tax or something stupid to al your prices without teling you does it?!

Are all the prices increased by the same percentage? If so, what is the %?

I think it is adding the UK sales tax to everything (17.5%) but we already have VAT on our products where appropriate, and I can't see an option to prevent this when you upload the feed.....:( tried emailing them a couple of times but they don't answer my question, they just say its wrong and to do it again!!!

    Hi,

Is this cause in the states all prices are displayed before any sales tax is added on at checkout, where as in the uk all prices include the tax from the start.

    Then remove the VAT first.

With a simple excel forumla you can do just that.

Not all prices need to have VAT added though, eg childrens clothing, and it will add it onto them too?! Presumably I could just deduct the same percentage though...... does anyone else have this problem?

I set up my Froogle feeds ages ago and I do have VAT Exempt products mixed with normal products. I can't remember because everything runs automated ever since but I think there is an attribute for VAT you can set. Just read the documentation again.
