Frontpage web hosting companies

Does anyone know a frontpage web hosting company that actually supports frontpage and it's componets, such as SSL and Frontpage forms and etc. that actually work using frontpage and it's componets without formmail and etc.

Not a company that has frontpage extensions installed on their servers claiming they support frontpage - but only mean we support frontpage extensions only and nothing else in relation to frontpage.

 

Or does not add up other services later saying blahhh blahhh won't work with frontpage and you need to buy _____ _______ _______ and _________.

 

Well what did you need for the SSL? Frontpage forms and some of their components do not function properly with a Shared SSL (one of the main reasons we do not support Shared SSL).

I would recommend not using Apache but using Windows servers for complete support and to take advantage of all the FP components.

Did you need support with Frontpage as well?

 

The old hostcentric.com use to work until the the shared hosting was bought by BIZLAND. And BIZLAND stuff does not work. So submit frontpage forms, you need to use formmail, and can't use webbots and the old hostcentric banned formmail due to spam and security issues.
The old Hostcentric did use apache and they made it work and we had no problems. BIZLAND on the other hand does not care to support the customers that they acquired from Hostcentric.
So really BIZLAND is stupid to acquire a part of a company just to loose customers due to lack of support and services that the old hostcentric use to supply to their customers.

And most hosting companies now are a joke - they say they have or support frontpage extensions.
They don't support Frontpage, it's componets and features.
They just have extensions.

 

Supporting FPSE can be somewhat difficult but there is no reason why when a server has FPSE installed that you cannot use all the components or features (unless it is on a *NIX platform).

A lot of our hosting clients actually use Frontpage and we have not had anyone complain about it. Sometimes, they FTP into their site to delete some things and then their FP extensions get corrupted. They can easily fix that though thru the control panel.

 

The most stupid thing some of these web hosting companies do, is they don't use frontpage and view and edit their clients pages in another editor and it f's all the code up.

Yah another customer reminded me to add topchoice to the crappy hosting company list.

 

What would a hosting company be changing your coding? A hosting company should be hosting your site not changing your coding.

You can view the coding in notepad - but using FTP can corrupt the extensions. Changing pages on the server can also corrupt the extensions.

 

Looking into legal recourse for that.
Yes i had pages edited.
Thought that to be illegal and unethical.
What about someone changing the contact info in a ssl certificate = illegal too right = it was done too.
