FrontPage errors in setting up

I need help please - I love this concept and Shawn really seems to be knocking off potential problems I see - thanks.

I'm following setup instructions, trying to do so through FrontPage, but -

Can I do this in FrontPage?

Do I add the code to the 'HTML' section then update?

I get an error when trying to create a file named " ad_network_ads_184.txt " - FP tries to add on .htm to the end

    Any other pointers?

Geez... what kind of help is that??

Go to file - save as
    file name: ad_network_ads_184.txt
    save as type: Text (*.txt)

    Problem solved.

    Thanks. Sorry for being new.

I've done everything in the C-panel File Manager, all files are where they are supposed to be, and all contents are there, but I'm not able to get a validation.

Thanks for the helpm I promise to make it up to other newbies once I get the hang of it.

I don't see any coop ads over there. Does your site use htm or php pages?

I have HTML pages all done thru Frontpage, but the script that the coop says to put in was done directly in the c-panel files. I hope that answers your question.

Thanks. I read through that thread several times, but I really have no idea what to do. Would you mind summing it up?

    I put the:

Put .html or whatever your file extensions are in the left box and application/x-httpd-php in the right one

in the proper places under Apache Handler - and still won't validate.

It was mentioned before that it does not appear that you have ads running on the site, so that is why it's not validating. So the best focus would be on why the ads aren't showing on your site. Do you know much about HTML or do you use the WYSIWYG only part of Frontpage?

I've placed the proper copy on every page, but am getting

"You must set the ad network .txt file to be writable. "

But, I did place the code:

    "chmod 777 ad_network_ads_184.txt"

on the main page as the instructions said.

oh i see. That's not webpage code. That's just saying that the ad_networks_ads_187.txt file needs to be made writable. There is probably a way in front page to change the permissions on a file. I'll look around and see what i can find.

edit: i just checked your site and it looks like there are 2 banner coop ads at the bottom. problem fixed?
