from which citibank my new check cleared?

i have something strange in my new check..
i read in the check that it:
Payable at CITYBANK.NA.

but , i used to read in my old check this :

Payable at CITYBANK.NA.
THROUGH CITYBANK (NEW YORK STATE)

and now the man in my local bank ask me which citibank to clear it??
is it still Payable at NEW YORK ? which CITYBANK?

I write my local branch.

 

Well, it will be treated as local check and and can be cleared from any branch in your city.
