From where could i get sponsorship to a contest i am intending to hold?

From where could i get sponsorship to a contest i am intending to hold?
I need sponsors from different blogs. I'll be putting in a $20 cash reward as well as a free logo/banner design.

My blog is relativly new, only a few posts, 7 rss subscribers and 1 email subscriber. I intend to build up more. Need sponsors.

What will be for the sponsors?
- Free banner designs from me
- backlink duh most obvious
- i'll write on your blogs. 1 500 word article for each sponsor as a guest or anything
- i'll be making a sponsors tab. Your link will be placed there forever.
- a wordpress theme release with their link in it, encrypted.


What the contest participants will have to do?
- Subscribe on my blog via email, 1 entry count
- Blog this contest on their blogs/websites, 15 enteries
- Have 5+ comments on each sponsors blog, 30 enteries.

I'll start this contest, only if i get enough sponsors so that the cash amount reaches $100. Digital Products such as ebooks etc are a plus

Please help me, Is it a good offer to give to sponsors?
Will i get sponsors?

 

You need a solid marketing plan to show people so they get interested. I think you have to personally contact other webmasters or posting on forums.

You can easily get hosting sponsor as I know.

 

I was hoping to do something big. I have already started making a list of sites on which i could promote the contest (if i get sponsors, and am able to hold it), and after i get a good list worth showing to webmasters i'd contact them sperately.

What say?

 

I'd recommend approaching people to sponsor it... show them your traffic statistics, what they'd get from sponsoring you etc, show them your plans and what you wish to achieve, word it in a way that will appeal to the sponsor... do you have a target group for sponsor's? Just approach them and see where it leads

 

Thanks, well traffic, that'd be a problem as my blog is relativly new. Which is why trying to get hold of a contest to get some exposure

Yes if you're luck enough.
But i don't think anyone will sponsor newly built site.
Why don't you make a ads at your local newspaper and seek for sponsor.
In return,company that sponsor you will get their name listed at your blog.

 

I think mentos is right.

Try to approach some reputed company in your city, explain them your concept and also tell them that how they will benefit. If required, tell them that you will create a separate page for them which will list the complete portfolio of the company.

I don't know if you are aware of, but big companies like Coca Cola, Pepsi often give sponsorships. You can try approaching them.
