Hi! How can a blog have more than 1 million pages views per month and almost all of them are realized not by people that searched on Google? They come as subscribers or from some external directory or site? The blog is althouse.blogspot.com and its stats can be seen on Site metter link on its page.
It's probably been around for years and generates a ton of traffic from search engines or other back links.
The stats could be fake. There could be 30k readers subscribed to the blog in which case that is how it is hitting the 1 million page views, assuming a new post is made every day. It could be that there are images on the site which are being linked to another site with large traffic and the stat counter many be including these in the stats.
It's not my blog... is a woman's blog who appeared even on Fox channel in USA. Maybe that's way she gets so much traffic...
so why do you care about some one else's blog? if you want to apply the same logic and/or tricks to YOUR blog, its pretty much the same question of "how to bring traffic to my site" which has been asked so many times already. Learn to use the search function or check out the Adsense forum.
Google like quality content refreshed regularly, so if you post non-duplicate content to your blog on a regular basis, you're bound to be well placed on keywords. Otherwise maybe they just buy their traffic.
Do proper Seo on page & off page. On page check your meta tags, title, description, content, & in off page do some link building, article posting , directory submission etc. Thus you can get some desired results
Not at all. as tahionstar has stated she has appeared on the TV as well. She is a famous blogger and it has lot of quality backlinks and lot of unique quality content. Doesnt matter it is an uncustomized free blogspot blog, but it has so many other reasons to be ranked well in google.
