I just received my welcome email from Godaddy, that took over the domains we had at Registerfly (in case you didn't know). Tomorrow I'll setup the account and tell you all the details of how it goes.

Lets see if the transition works fine, and if all the domains are moved.

GD acquired Registerfly and atleast the domains are safe now.

I know the owner of RF and I had all my trust in him. It seems it was too much to resolve this mess created by Glenn, previous VP and John, Kevin's partner!

I am renewing my domains with GD and I am happy cause I have some domains with GD and so far I like them

I've also had the email, but I'm unfamiliar with how it works. I have a few domains with a lot of time left until they expire (years). When I renew them at GoDaddy will another year be added on?

Also, I thought I'd just pay for a renewal of the domain for $8.95, but I'm asked to pay double that:

    .COM Domain Name Renewal - 1 Year* - $8.95
    Private Registration Services - Renewal - $8.99

This is going to add up with a lot of domains. What's this extra payment?

Nope the email you received will have a mention of your new account number!

    Just goto - http://www.GoDaddy.com/WelcomeRegisterFly

Enter your Registerfly username and the access code that shows up! And Godaddy will respond back with a Password reset email. ... follow it up and you will be done!

Each of your domains in your RF account will be moved to Godaddy, no money involved!

Could you be a bit elaborate on this one, since I manage to transfer around mid xxxx domains in 6 different accounts, so I reckon it shouldnt be a problem to you as well!

What problem is it that you're getting ?

just go through the welcome page (I havent got any welcome mail still) and activiated new account with the same user name as registerfly, but nothing happened, more than this out of 2 domains registered, 1 lost DNS address and now it is parked by godaddy (it was hosted with godaddy), and this domain was most important for me, I am waiting for the support reply from last 10 hrs

Ah, that's good. I couldn't understand why in the email I recieved it said:

"We worked with ICANN® and the registries to extend the renewal grace period on domain names that expired prior to May 29, 2007. But you must act before June 28, 2007 to retain ownership of your domain names. Please note that it may take some domains a few days to complete the recovery process and be available for renewal."

    and then...

"You must renew your domain names by June 28, 2007 or they WILL EXPIRE."

Not all of my RF domains have been transferred over. Should I also request for those to be transferred?

    Thanks again.

Are they on different accounts ? If on the same account and if not yet expired, you should have them!

If for some reason, they haven't transferred, try giving a call to godaddy!

I have not yet received any email from godaddy, and I own over 100+ domains at RF.

so - I sent them an email and it 'should' be on the way within the next couple of days...

I wonder how many domains will be lost in this transfer :(

Got my welcome email, followed its instructions and all of mine are now at GoDaddy.

My only question is, although GoDaddy did mention that I already have an account with them (for other domains) the ones from RF went into another account.

Anybody know if it's a hassle to merge the 2 accounts?

What parked page ? All the Godaddy transfers are going to be active on 5th June, but as far as I know, it's a transfer so none of the nameservers are going to be affected!

Check if the domain is not expired or something!

I thought so, my one domain registered with rf is ok even though I havent got any welcome email (godaddy said, few of the rf domains registered with enom, these domains still be with enom itself), but my main domain registered with rf and hosted with godaddy removed DNS settings automatically, I was re tried to add the DNS, but there are error messages (name server not found - ns23.secureserver.net),

Your best bet would be to give Godaddy a call, keep your contact details and everything handy, get a $10 skype account and place a call. Explain everything and tell them that you'd prefer it sorted ASAP

Creation of the account was quick and easy. What will take more time is the removal of the whois privacy... for those not used to Godaddy it may seem confusing.
