From now on Google will pre-announce future core algorithm updates

Looks like they are doing this to prevent the SEO community from giving their updates wrong / unfavorable names.

I think or in my experience, Google doesn't have been given sure information about their update.

 

They can do whatever they want and like. They are doing business after all.
