    hi there!

I have a blogger.com blog that is more than a year old..it has almost a hundred posts, yet it seems that the blog can't be noticed by the Google search engine, SEO wise..perhaps this is because many of the articles are not that good, or not created according to SEO standards..

Still I don't plan on giving up on this blog and wanted to transfer it to wordpress.. is this a good idea in terms of optimizing it?

And it is okay if I delete those post which I think are damaging instead of helping my blog get good rankings on search engines? Anyway, the blog now still has no PR rank, perhaps if I polish some of articles and delete the unwanted ones, and then transferring everything to wordpress..things will be better for my blog..

    Please, your opinion on this...thanks!

The quality of the articles in itself wont make any difference to the search engines, unless they are duplicate content from other sites in which case they will be ignored.

However if the articles are not high quality they wont be linked to so much by others - and that is what really counts.

If you want to appear high in SERPS concentrate on getting inbound links from other places.

Ditto what mv5869 said, and add that there are other ways of promoting your blog. Get listed at BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog, Bumpzee, etc. These are large blog directories with their own social networks. You can find other bloggers of similar interests. Once found, participate in their blog comments. Get noticed. Write about them too, they will notice you that way too. Before you know it, some will write about you.

And notice how I did not use the word "link" in that entire paragraph. :)
