I agree with you, affiliate, reseller programs are better than adsense when you talk about the real bucks........But it depends on how much visitors you have

I am sure there is something on CJ that your visitors would be interested in.

If you sign up and need help choosing something, shoot me a PM.

    Great Thread!

I've been doing this for some time now and found some things by trial and error that may help some of you who are thinking about taking the plunge.

    1. If you're going to try this you've gotta take all adsense ads off the page.

    2. I've combined CJ programs and CPA programs on the same page so if I don't hit with a CJ ad I've got a chance with a CPA ad. The CPA ads usually pay quite a bit more anyway.

    3. Be selective with which programs you use from CJ. Alot of the landing pages for the CJ programs have 800 numbers on them. It's too easy for the person to pick up the phone and call a toll free number to order. When they order by phone you don't get squat. I'm really surprised that CJ allows this since CJ won't make any money on a commission either. Almost every CPA program landing page I've seen DOES NOT have a toll free number so the person can only take an action online.

    4. Best thing to do is get an idea for a site, check out CJ for programs available (be sure to check out the programs landing page), then check out your CPA provider to see if they have a program that will go along with what you have in mind.

Hope this helps or at least give you something to think about. :)

it's good story to hear, but it might not works for everybody coz of they have a different target market. In your case it works good coz you got US visitors and they like to buy stuffs online. If other got diffrent countries market definitely they will come back and yell at you that it doesn't works at all. Make sure you analyse your site well and sure that it would work before you switch. wish everybody good luck.

I have had Adsense on my site for a couple of years and have had some good months in the hundreds. I stuck CJ on a few pages a couple of months ago and have made almost 200 during the two months. I do see the potential. I never thought about removing the Adsense ads though. I am going to try that now.
thanks for the advise. Great thread!

I don't think cj.com programs would work well for blogs on consumer electronics, right?

I mean, most online shoppers for this stuff are very savvy, and would either go to the merchant directly (say Amazon.com) or just sign up with the various coupon / rebate sites.

I've personally had better luck with Chitika on my digital camera blogs. Nobody seems to want to click my Amazon.com or (eg RitzCamera.com, NewEgg.com) text links which would bring them directly to the specific camera model my blog post is talking about.

    Thoughts, anyone?

You know, they say that asking can't hurt, but they were not talking about questions like this!

Questions like this are an insult to the community. Can't you be satisfied and inspired with the success story and figure out the rest on your own?

You are either a careless person who would have people give away a niche by accidentally responding to your question or a person that has no idea of what they are doing and just wants to copy another's work.

Everyone has a choice - choose not to be lame.

WOW! You cut right to the chase don't ya! ;)

I must admit that I almost mentioned something about outing a site yesterday but it was my first post AND I figured that the people asking were totally new to the Internet world not realizing what they were doing, and also what happens when you out a site on a forum.

I think if they knew what happens to a site when it gets outed on a forum they wouldn't ask.

Amazon ads NEVER convert for me.
The only time they have, is people clicking on them, then continue browser and have bought something... and iv earned commission from that.

There are many good programs to get into with CJ & Clickbank for electronics.
I own several electronic sites, and have made some sales through CJ with that in the past.

As iv said, it's not going to happen overnight unless that's the way of the program your using. Some people bookmark your affiliate URL's and may purchase at a later date. The only way you can make assumptions if it works or not is giving it a couple of months to see if it converts or not.

If you're looking for overnight success it's not going to happen most likely. Especially for electronics where the user has to spend $xx-$xxx

Well, Sunday is still going to be off for a few more days yet, so you will jaust have to wait a bit longer to see the example(s) that he is going to provide. I think he will be back on the 15th of this month.
