From a marketing viewpoint.

From a marketing viewpoint I personally cannot stand sites with google ads plastered all over them. I have seen sites lately that are nearly 100 percent ads by Google. It's rediculous. At least there are sites like www.wapang.com that refuse to give in to PPC fraud. I cant count the times I have seen clients lose big buxs playing PPC's.

Im not going to point fingers or anything. PPC can work for marketing, if you are willing to take a risk. Do a normal search in a search engine and count the number of ads in the top ten results. Next do the same for page 10 results.

    Laters all!

Thanks for the vent. What if those plastered with Ads only have exactly that as their goal? If pure clicks is all they need they might not care about their marketability.

I don't like them either though.

I agree from a surfers point of view. If I can not find content(in the clutter of ads) I hit the favorites menu or type a domain and exit quickly.

As a webmaster it is very important, to me, that the websites I create are something I would be willing to visit(as a user).

My philosophy as a webmaster is a user should never have to scrollto begin reading the content. So this means I have to have the title graphics, logo and the ads above the fold but also have content viewable.

There is nothing worse IMO(as a user) to have ad blocks that fill the entire screen(but totally understand the marketing aspect) and you have to scroll to get to the content.

Yes, sites with minimal content and maximal adsense stink.

Personally I think this is a clumsy attempt by IIxVADERxIIto get hits to the web address mentioned in his post.
    Spam of a different kind...
