webgator, it all depends on your content. When using a subdomain, some users would find your new topics irellevant whlie others might connect to them. From an SEO point of view, subdomains get the added value of being considered part of your original domain thus giving them a good starting point. If you still consider using a brand new domain, you might not want to host it on the same server and link to your other domain, as google does not give value to links that come from the same ip address or ip range. I hope that gives you something to think about
You can show your ads to better paleces. but it gives you a small increase. Also you can try to use Google adwords to make your sites trafic better.
I just want to tell you guys revenue increased and now I am getting ~$10-~$11, what I did is adding some articles realted to my niche
Yeah, I understand all that already, but what I was wondering if building on an established domain (whether in folders or subdomains) would be much better and easier to increase revenue than to build a small empire of individual domains? So say I have a generic domain name that ranks well in the serps for a particular niche in many kw's and has good PR. Now I want to expand my reach and customer base by adding a new niche. Would'nt it be better to just add to the existing domain since it is already established and continue to build this one up rather than continually starting over?
Traffic increases over time through word of mouth. In the meantime, submit it to a few hundred free directories, join some high traffic topsites, possibly do a few link exchanges, and start on a new project. Ad placement is key. By removing two linebreaks in html (8 characters), my CTR went up a whole 1%.
