From 5$/day to over 20k/month. Yeah that's right!!

    Hello folks.

A few months ago I was a total n00b when it comes to affiliate marketing and making money online.
I was asking questions on the Adsense section on how to make more than my 2$/day.

I didn't even know what an MFA is :D:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=327967&highlight=morphy

Now here is a screenshot from one of my CJ accounts:

Yeah, that's right. A huge jump in my income in the last few months. That is one of two accounts, and I'm making some money with SAS, Azoogle, Coppeac.com and a few other networks.

I'm not bragging here guys. I'm trying to help and give you some motivation. It is in fact very easy to make that kind of money if you put some work/time or money in it. If you have money that's good, if you don't that's fine too, but you'll need some more time/effort.

What got me started in affiliate marketing was a guy from affearners, he posted his journal and progress from day one in this game. Benjamin's affiliate marketing journal is a very good read if you guys are new to this. Also people there are more open to discuss some techniques in the Gray side of the internet mkting.

I started as a PPC guy, it is very profitable if you find the right product/offer to promote. However, Sometimes you need real volume to make money. Because the commissions are not that high or the offer has a low payout. And as a starter, competitive markets/high payouts were a big no for me. and my low budget was a real problem with my PPC campaigns. The only option I had is going after free traffic, so I jumped into SEO and boy!! it was much more fun :D.

And let me tell you guys that market research is the key, and the only key in this game. You just need to do it right. I have sites that rank for two words high searched keyphrases. and I'm really surprised that I barely have any competition. I dedicate a lot of time to market/kw research and it is really paying of. An example of this is I have a blogger blog that gets 200 uniques a day while it is ranking third for a high searched movies related keyword. And it is doing pretty well with Ebay.

When picking your niches guys, just think about what people usually need and are going to buy/complete an offer/sign up online. Take ideas from your family, friends, yourself maybe. See what are your "needs" and why the internet is a better option. When building your landing pages, see what the "big players" in your niche are doing. They already did their market research and they are more likely going to come up with some better ideas/results than yours. Learn from their ad copies/kws/call to action.

As some of you may know, I'm not a designer. And I usually "borrow" ideas from others landing pages :D. I'm a big fan of WP and blogs, they do convert. I use blogs as landing pages and I try to collect emails or rss subscribers. Of course this will depend on your niche.

Those were just some random ideas I had in mind. I'm open to questions and I'll try to help. Remember I'm still new to this so take my advice with a grain of salt.

    Hello Diego,

As I said I go after the low hanging fruit, anything that is not very competitive. However I go after stuff that I know people need all the time...ie: furniture, cosmetics, clothing, gifts, computers, accessories, construction, home and garden, pets ...just to name a few. (the computers HW area is a bit competitive, but there is a huge demand and I target very long tail stuff).

Reviewing the products is a very god technique, posting coupons too. Sometimes I just mention the product in a post and link to it. Take for example when I'm talking about long tail here, I can easily insert my wordze aff link, got the point?
    I hope it helped.

P.S: Plz guys I'm open to any questions except stuff like what exact products/merchants do u promote or post a one of your websites link.

    Cheers,
    Morphy.

Why, $20,000 a month is about $660 a day which is possible if you have a good system. If you have 6 sites that make $100 a day you're almost there.

Are you primarily using Word Press for your sites that are ranking in the SE's to generate organic traffic? Where is the majority of your organic traffic coming from? i.e. Google/Yahoo/MSN etc.

Are you using conventional SEO methods of directory submissions, link building/trading etc., article submissions and the such to rank for your keywords? Or are you finding keywords and niches that don't have much competition there by getting your traffic that way?

How many sites blogs are you running to generate that amount of commissions?

Are you continually updating your network? Or do you build one blog/site and then move onto the next?

    Thanks for sharing!

These are good questions coming from spikey. I am also wondering how often do you update your blogs to keep the traffic numbers up, and whether you do that yourself or do you hire someone to help provide the content?

    Hello Spikey.
Yes I'm using WP for my blogs, a great CMS IMHO. But I also have a few sites that are using datafeeds. I have picked a few scripts from here

Most of my traffic is coming from Google. And I don't use any directory or articles submissions. It is a waste of time IMHO, specially after the last G update. I usually link from my link network or I interlink sites on diff IPs/servers (I know this might sound unethical for some of you, but it is completely ok for me). I do social submissions too, G likes that kind of links. Anyways and as you said Spikey, I don't need many links to rank for my targeted kws. I picked a very good strategy from here to find good kws. Unfortunately, you'll need to subscribe to the blogger's list to get the email. Believe me it is well worth it, you can unsubscribe after that. I was gonna post his email/technique here, but I don't wanna piss anybody.

I have a couple hundreds sites running atm. where I manually update some of them, buy content for some, and just leave some on autopilot. Now, I can afford hiring people to do some content/SEO/code work for me which makes my work a lot easier.

Thx everybody for the nice comments. :)

    Cheers,
    Morphy
