Its very strange, I was looking at my statistics in Google analytics about a month ago and I realised that my Bounce rate had dropped although I had started to heavily advertise my site on social media sites. I didn't think much of it but now a couple more weeks down the line the bounce rate is now at 14.5% when it used to be at around 40-60%. Not sure how this has happened but I cant complain, perhaps the social media visitors are more targeted than I first thought. Hows your bounce rates and what do you do to decrease yours?

I didn't even think that was possible, to get your bounce rate down to under 15%? Ours is around 65% and like blendology, I'd be curious to know your strategy. Which social networks do you use, and how do you harness them?
Maybe as you add more relevant content, it provides a reason for visitors to stay longer and browse to other page to find out more new stuff.
I never really had a strategy for decreasing my bounce rate I ve just been using normal techniques to increase traffic. Basically I used to never use social media sites to market my site and after doing a little research I learnt that a lot of these succesfull blogs have a large if not the largest amount of traffic coming through social media marketing. So I started to give it a try, researching into which social media sites to use. I use 3 social media sites mainly but also submit my pages to other sites automatically I will write a more in depth article about this now I think. Will. I ll post it here later.
