I think it is just the normal Google Dance. My site is ranking #3-5 for more than 6 months to the major kw, it has now dropped to #12. All we can do is just wait and pray our site will go back to the top ranking. It is how the whole "SEO game" is supposed to play.
Mine isn't even in the top 1000 on google.co.uk, until you click UK only. Then 13th. Time to train up to be an electrician or something else, this SEO stuff is soul destroying.
These kind of SERP changes happen very often, but one should stick to the basics without any blackhat SEO methods.
I'm checking the SERPs regularly (different DCs) and will update you soon as soon as i see some changes.
Same here. Lost SERP for two of my site. From 1-3 position to 5th page. No traffic at all now. I never bought links for these site. For Sure. Im scared to death now. I lost serp for two of my site making xx$ a day. I also have an ecommerce im worried about. I dont want to loose my xxxx$ a month.
I have about 15 domains (auto, phones, health, etc.) - and as for me there's nothing to worry, all sites on their positions...
Hi guys, turns out my drop on the 'search the web' was down to setting our target region as UK in Google webmaster tools. Removed it and a day later it is back and hasn't disappeared since. Seems a bit daft Google would effectively punish you for doing this. Good luck the rest of you, hope your sites return to their rightful place.
While I can't say the exact reason for your site disappearing, I can say that it has happened to each of my sites over the years. Normally, it is gone for 3-5 days then reappears in the same or better position. /*tom*/
This, my dear is called as the "Google Dance". You just have to patiently wait from a day to almost four days and in some cases even a week and it will all come back to you. I would encourage you to continue the link building efforts that you are doing to be sure when it comes back, it sticks even better in the rankings. Don't worry about this, it happens all the time. Moreover, if you don't do anything messy, there's no need to worry at all.
Looks like this will be a longer dance than expected. Does it sound like a penalty? Googlebot is visiting the site as usual, indexed pages count is normal, PR is there, -*keyword- can be found in the site:domain.com results but it's not listed at google.com (or google local) searches (*a very specific non-competitive keyword)
one of my sites vanished on the 30th and has not recovered... Still indexed but with major drops in ranks
Happens all the time to my site. Sometimes I can be on page 3, other times I can't find it on there at all (probably because its on page 4543534 or something).
Don't worry, one of my sites took 3 weeks to get back but it came back a little lower in the rankings. Keep building links. That might help.
