I've had a page getting first place rankings on the Yahoo search engine. I noticed a traffic decrease and made a search at Yahoo to investigate. I can't even find my page now. On further investigation it isn't even cashed at Yahoo anymore. I did update the page but I don't understand how the cash would disappear. Anybody else ever have this happen? Thanks, Herman
Have you had any downtime recently? SEs tend to drop sites for a couple of weeks nowadays when your site has some downtime.
Haven't had any downtime that I know of. Funny thing is that my search ranking increased at Google. Could be why the cache is empty I guess but the whole site didn't go down, just one page. The page was getting a lot of traffic, maybe it was loading slow when Yahoo was chaching it?
WEll I had a website ranked #1 in Yahoo for a few years. It however was relevant to the search term by name, not by content and usability. That's why Yahoo removed it.
Sometime due to downtime of your server cause these problems. cause when bots crawls your websites and the find them down, that create problems for serps, i have faced it few times. but be careful as well, as you dont wanna break Some Guidelines and they ban you.
I have had them make adjustments back and forth over the couple years but not experienced what you seem to have. I had an interruption last year with about a week of down time and it took a couple weeks for a return.
Competition is hot, other's may have your keywords beat strongly also, maybe you have no backlinks and fell off. A site can get ranked with only 2 or 3 backlinks, but if they are gone, then your site is gone also.At least untill you get more links aim back at your site. Try building over 1000 backlinks during the next 3 months then see what happens.
yahoo is very much inpredictable in result bcoz yahoo more concentrate on onsite seo of page so if they found some other website is good then it swap the positions., u cant judge yahoo
