i have a website with domain registered from 4 months now. the blog is on a sub-domain created 1.5 month before. i started to add contents since then.the visitors increased gradually till 100 uv/day then suddenly from 3 days the visitors count decreased gradually in three days till 10 uv/day and i think today will be even much less. And i still rank like before in most of my keywords. the website contents are unique human edited articles.i built some back links from directory submission and blog commenting. any ideas
This could either be: your site is cyclical, meaning something happened this year (like a holiday event) or in the news that spurred interest in your site. This slowly fades. I.E if you have a Tiger Woods based site you may have received a bunch of visitors just because he's in the news right now. Or you could have just been lucky and had an abnormally high amount of visitors due to statistics, but this also could mean you're being unlucky for a short period of time.
traffic can go up or down for many reasons. your site might haved ranked better for certain keyword(s) before which now fell or one of your article you posted might have gotten some traffic for the time being, various reasons. check your server stats or analytics to compare the results and you will be able to find out whether its the search engine traffic that dropped or its the referral traffic that you are no longer getting. analytics will give you the info you are looking for
it is confirmed now "today will be close to zero in visitors". after reading you kind posts i opened analytics now(i used to watch visitors count from ad sense page)and here what i found may be someone can explain this for me: 1-90 % of the traffic was from google search. 2- the visitors count was distributed equally with very little variation between the articles, for sure some articles is superior but the variation is not much you can say that it is equal between articles. 3-i still rank like before in the keywords sample that i tried. by the way it is medical blog that covers wide range of subjects and not related to news, places and the visitors was evenly distributed between articles last thing i am dentist, web developer and have good knowledge about seo so i write very good se friendly medical articles and my visitors spend good time on my website so i really don't know where is the problem? please help i am really frustrated .
Are you bookmarking your site on social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Twitter, Del.icio.us, Stumble? If not give that a try. Otherwise, keep submitting articles and mixing up your anchor text. I write a lot of SEO articles for various webmasters and they have seen a lot of success with those articles both through the traffic on the sites the articles went to and the search engines. You also may want to go in and freshen up the content in a couple of your post and then ping your RSS feed to see what kind of a difference it makes.
thanks seo writter i think you solved it. i was bookmarking my articles regularly since some body posted that too many social bookmarking links may be harmful so i stopped.and the result was that great drop i will continue to that. thanks again you really helped me
fluctuations happen all the time, my vehicle sites go up in the summer and my atv sites go up in the winter. If you have articles on specific actors or famous people, once they get busted for something or star in a new movie the traffic will go up. Also it can be google or your main visitor source moving you up for awhile and then back down and that fluctuates traffic as well. The best thing to do is keep adding quality content and NEW stuff as often as you can that is 100% unique and work on backlinks and you can dictate the traffic you receive to always increase no matter the season. I totally agree. If you keep writing new content and then writing articles linking back to the content that you have written and bookmark all of that stuff on the social bookmarking sites you should see a lot of traffic come your way. Do some keyword research and find some keywords that you can rank high for and then make posts that focus on those keywords. Google loves updated content and will send traffic your way if you keep updating your site. If you cannot find anything to write about you may want to outsource your work to a company such as Written For Seo that can provide you with high quality content that Google and the rest of the search engines love.
thanks alot you guys was really helpful. last question is my website still in the sandbox or not or in other words what is the average time needed to pass the 1 thousand uv/day?? as i mentioned before the domain is registered 4 months ago and the real contents started 2 months ago i got from 30 - 100 uv/day.
