Hey guys, basically this site was making avg 8-10 dollars a day for the first 2-3 months, then dropped rapidly.. no changes where made and yet we receive the same hits, sometimes a little more sometimes a little less but very bad revenue... on average 70cents to $1. the site is www.allsouprecipes.com .. im figuring it needs new placing techniques and figured id turn to you guys to see your opinion. What do you think I could do to pump the turnover back around? Another thing is, it's funny but www.andy-roddick.org is also making less then half of what it use to make before, which was $5 and now barely averages $1-2 ... the placing has also been kept the same but has dropped a little in traffic & search engine rankings... also thinking if you could help with placing.. or idea's on how to really boost all this backup! Thanks alot.
This week is passover, easter and alot of schools are on spring break, so consider it a holiday. And during hoidays many sites suffer... Maybe someone can comment on smartpricing for you. I dont know enough about it. Be careful with the images next to your ads. Google no longer allows this procedure. Otherwise, keep working on your traffic building.
yeah I thought I removed it... It's not just this week, it's almost the last 3 months. the traffic isn't low, my main concern is.. is with this traffic I was getting that $10. It's increasing but revenue isnt. something isn't right.
These days there's a lot of google dance, you might want to wait a week or so (there's also probably a toolbar pagerank update in progress)
The traffic hasn't really changed.. its gone a hundread up a dayor hundread lower a day.. not a big change. I'll do a check on smart pricing ive always heard the term but never really understood it.
This usually happens with returning visitors. You should change the layout around. One of my proxies used to make 25-35 a day, but after a couple of months it started going down because most of the people return and they get used to the layout. After i changed my layout it went back up again. - Prilep
you said that you are getting the same number of hits (I assume you mean visitors)....but what about the number of click thrus you are getting? If click thrus are lower, then you may want to mix up the placements like prilep said. If you are getting the same amount of click thrus, but making less money then it may be smart pricing or fluctuation in the amount advertisers are bidding. One thing you may want to try is with the soup recipe site, instead of having 10 or so posts show on your home page, I would drop it down to 2 or 3...that way your site has more pages for visitors to look at, hence more opportunities for you to get clicks.
ive filtered most bad ads, also yeah Im going to put in a new template.. yes click through has also gone done.
