So today I just lost a claim with Paypal. Immediately as I escalated the claim I received this message Does this mean I can sell bad products and not have to worry about people trying to get their money back? Wow, that's great (sarcasm) -_- So here's the story. I was looking for a nice MySpace friend adder/mass commenter. My friend assured me this was the way to go (maybe 2 years ago it was...) so I purchased the program. All seemed well until nothing worked. Their site states this: which gave me reason to believe that only functions in the free trial may not work, but the full version would be different. Nope. It's the same shabby program. I should've just programmed it myself. This is seriously using WinSock to visit a page. It does not merit $29.95 USD. So at first I attempt to contact support. The attempt failed. I made a work around to their support ticket system (ftsupport.net) which at the time did not have the e-mail. After about 48 hours I filed a PayPal dispute. They finally get back to me with their support e-mail and DELETE my ticket and everything else in the ticket system. Their support was terrible. Obviously I was dealing with a thief. The man had English like a truck driver (no offense to those respectable truck drivers out there). After sending him an e-mail with my problem I get another one back about 12 hours later "Yeah. What's your issue?". So moral of the story, I'm upset. This man is a conartist. I got ripped $30 USD. PayPal will do nothing to stop thieves, but when someone buys something from me and files a dispute because they don't feel like paying they always win -_-. Probably just blowing smoke, but what do you guys think about all this? Regards, Dennis M.
Actually an update. I informed him that I would be posting of my experience and he issued a refund and his tone completely changed with me. He updated the site to clarify. He has offered me to purchase the source code and I can make it compatible with the current version of myspace which I may do. So above was a lot of steam coming off. Just a few hours later, he helped clarify things with me. Regards, Dennis M.
