Hummn...here is proof that Google likes to ban the little guy without notice of why. If you are a Google apologist, as I have seen quite a few here MOVE ALONG. now for the rest of us: here is the proof. it is now 10.08 est. I came across this page on friendster with a pornographic image on the left hand side of the page, and google adsense on the right. I know that if I had a site with such an image on my site I'd be banned so quick, I would'nt know what hit me. like I've read of a few here. But Friendster brings in thousands of dollars to Google a month if not millions. Im sure they won't bann them. as you'll clearly see if not later on today tomorrow. I'll revisit this page tomorrow and im sure i'll see adsense on there and all over Friendster. enough! here is the page..hummn i wont post the link cause DP Mods protect Google alot, here is the url instead. http://www[dot]friendster.com/43345943 .
lol...let me see them ban MYSPACE here is a myspace page with Adsense atleast @ the time i saw it ://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=191346713
"Im sure they won't bann them" Then why post about it? This is irrelevant. If you had a client making you thousands upon thousands a month would you just get rid of them? Money is the deciding factor in the end, and you can't change that, so don't bother trying. Think before you post.
Friendster is definitely a Premium Adsense Publisher, so why would they worry? And I'm sure it'd be a loss for Adsense if they let go a huge site like friendster.
I think movidalatina is in his right to question the double standards of Google. If you dont like to question that double standards thats up to you, but let others question them.
Well, I am a Google apologist actually. I mean, I love Google and what they have done for the web. But its still good to question them.
Nothing is going to happen today or tomorrow for a few reasons. One, it's a flipping three-day weekend. Two, if you're not going to report it, they may not find out about it.
The simple fact is premium publishers get benefits. They have the sites making the most money, so Google is more lenient, thats always been true, and won't change.
It seems to me that the page in question is violating Friendsters TOS and the simple solution is to remove it, not ban Friendster. I've seen that happen on here a few times where a "little guy" has gotten a warning that a particular page violates TOS and is asked to remove adsense from it or delete the page. The TOS for Friendster is probably set up the way it is so that the content does NOT violate Google's TOS/Policies. Perhaps the page should be reported to Friendster, not Google?
