I told my friend about my website and he clicked a whole bunch of advertisements because he wanted to help. ( I did not tell him to click any ads btw ) Should I contact google and explain what happened or will they know that it wasn´t me and just call it invalid clicks?

Well it shows 0 clicks for today. So they might have just not detected anything?

You should always mention to your friends not to click on your ads. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Should I report it anyway though, even though it says 0 clicks for today? and you´re right, but I didn´t think he would do something like that. =/ I guess they don´t know much about Adsense.

I always tell them not to click any ads on my sites unless they are truely interested in what is being advertised.. That seems to work, with responsible friends..lol

Oh, you wouldn't get banned right away, it would not happen until you're about to get your first payment.

I would be worried if any of the following are true:
    • if either of you use Gmail and have ever sent email to each other
    • if you've ever logged into your Adsense account from wherever he did his clicking from
    • if you where you normally log into your Adsense account is physically located near (say within 5-10 miles) wherever he did the clicking from

I would not worry about the last one because Google knows people click all over the world, and the population with in 10 miles of me is a good 180 thousand as I live near Miami FL. Also I reported it and was very nice about it. So I think everything will be fine. :) Thanks for the advice guys

This is the reason I don't tell my friends about my sites. Or if I do tell them, I clearly instruct them not to click on my google ads and also tell them why they should not do this.

Otherwise, they think they are doing you a favor by clicking on the ads!

Whenever I tell someone about AdSense, I not only do not tell them to click any ads, I actually tell them not to. I don't want my chances with AdSense to be lost because of the lack of information I gave to a friend or family member.

Google don't know wht relation u have with them but if clicks r too much then there is a chance.

Ask ur friends how many clicks they left and how many time per user (ur friend) clicks on ad.

Oh, brother, I didn't know this could be a problem. I mean, I know not to tell anyone to click on ads, but I do have a friend who told a friend to do so to help me out, not realizing it could get me in deep doo-doo. There sure is a lot to learn with this stuff ... sigh.
