Friend just got banned for 7 days - why?

A friend of mine - Magawr, just forwarded an email* (see below) sent to him from DigitalPoint notifying him that he has received 10 infraction points and an instant 7 days ban and I for one from reading the email sent, find it hard to imagine that this moderator, whoever it is, is really fit to be a moderator here at all.

The comment made by Magawr was extremely polite, absolutely nothing within it could possibly be deemed to be offensive to anyone in the absolute slightest - it was apparently in the Buy Sell Marketplace section, it did not say anything short such as 'Pm me the details' or anything of that nature, but was rather a full four sentences long, written as part of an order for services from another poster and for the priviledge of doing this, he gets banned outright, despite high numbers of previous posts, good reputation iTrader etc.

Is it possible for someone to look into this or are the mods here just going to wave their big God like stick, treating honest posters here like a bunch of schoolkid morons, even though many of the people here like Magawr, are in their forties and respectable business people, is there a moderator here who can actually be bothered to do the right thing and overturn this absurd decision?

What is this, some sort of nanny authoritive, dictatorial state? What it is, is a truly ridiculous state of affairs to be perfectly blunt.

Maybe it's about time that a few moderators were replaced with people more sensible by nature, maybe that might be a good idea.

Anyway, knowing Magawr rather well, I'm pretty sure he's going to have something to say about this when he does come back here and to be honest, I don't blame him one bit. If someone unseen, hidden away safely like a right little coward insulted me like this, I'd be hopping mad too. It's tantamount to libel, damaging other people's good reputations like this online. I should know, I'm studying as a trainee solicitor.

So, who was this moderator or do the mods here simply cover each others backs, with no honest representation given to the forum users, trying to go about their lawful and honest businesses?
