    Hi,

My friend (lea0001 on DP) has been scammed by a member named Mydir. This Mydir guy was selling $100 and $200 google adwords vouchers in the voucher section, and my friend PMed him for info + sent payment of $50. Just for the record, his iTrader is 24 and he only has 1 negative feedback, so it looked like a good trade.

So he waited and waited and waited, but the guy didn't even log onto DP for about 8 days. After 8 days, he logs on and starts selling some more of his stuff for $50 (in another thread). After I warned other people in his thread, he PMs everyone that he scammed and says "I am looking forward to a response from Paypal - and returns $ (He has also been informed - PM sent to all ...)".

He obviously can't even speak English, and is using a translator to get across to his victims on DP. It looks like he has scammed over $200USD on DP so far since I've seen many people in his threads saying "You never gave me my item" etc...

One guy says: "you never sent me pm, pls refund $17.00 Thanks dude.. waiting"

Another guys says: "i don't Receive any Voucher! Mr.mydir What Happen?"

You can see his scam threads here:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=820496
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=7726876#post7726876

In one of his threads he claimed that "his account had been hacked" and that's why he hadn't sent the vouchers and other items etc... But if his account was hacked, then why did he tell his victims to send the money to HIS Paypal account?? He clearly told my friend to send the money to "mydir@ntechnology.pl"...or something "@ntechnology.pl", which is HIS website.

My friend made a claim via. Paypal, but what if he got the money out via his bank account BEFORE the claim was made? How can my friend get his $50 back from this scammer?

I think he should be banned from DP also, but I'm not sure how that works...

    Help.

sorry, there is not much you can do.
Put it as business loss. Cost of doing business.
Put a bad feedback for him, and file dispute. If his a scammer and gets a lot of dispute, paypal will close his account.

escalate the dispute!! When I got scammed here before, I filed a Paypal dispute and they ruled in my favor, though the dude had already taken the funds. Also if you used a CC, call your CC company -that's what I did to get my money back.
