I know content is king, but I am wondering how do you go about fresh content. The reason I ask this, if you have a website dedicated to a specific topic or product, how do you keep it fresh if all you can write about the topic is right there? Do you constantly change the page? or Fresh Content means adding on more to your website?
Think about what's new, changing or upcoming about that topic! Sometimes even a blurb can get really good search results if you're the only person that mentioned a particular topic.
Blogs tend to do well because the front page keeps changing and the archives are saved and those keep getting some hits. For more static websites, just keep adding additional pages/info and occasionally update the front page.
Some topics you really cant always have new content easilly, I know, say you sell a product, well if theres nothing new coming out, thats just what you sell, then theres nothing you can add right? Wrong. You can add reviews, testimonials, guides to how to use, how to clean, how to etc, comparison guides, which produict to buy for what reason (scope A is better for hunting owls but Scope B is better for hunting squirrels, give long in depth examples). Google will see all of this as fresh new content, as long as it is unique and makes sense. Good luck
Read about the topic so that you stay informed. Write articles about current events and also write your own views about the knowledge that you're gaining by doing all this research.
guess this is where originality & creativity comes in. If it was that easy to create new good content everyday, everyone will be rich by now. Want to set yourself apart? You gotta dig your heels in and find things that nobody has thought of yet. That's what gives the underdogs a fighting chance....
You can also daily FAQs or articles based on forum discussions about the product or product category. The only limit is imagination.
