Just wanted to let you guys know that the category selection at Free Website Directory has been expanded by about 50. As always, submissions are free though you can pay a $9 fee for an expedited review. The current backlog is about 3500 listings, which is about 1 week. We have been around a long time. We have over 120,000 websites listed, with an approval rating of about 70%. Do note that if you submit a free listing, due to our backlog, if it contains a spammy title or description we will not be able to take the time to correct it and as such it will not be listed. Featured listings are edited if not compliant, as part of the review fee. We get real traffic, thus your submission will have value beyond that of just another backlink. There are, as I write this, 131,652 listings (131k+ of which are free) in the directory. Occassionally some slip through, but for the most part descriptions like "holiday photo cards, photo cards for children holiday photo cards, photo cards for children" will NOT be listed. Not saying that is the case with your submissions, only to say that if they were written with keyword stuffing in mind and aren't legible sentences then we won't take the time to correct them unless it's an exceptional website or a featured listing is submitted. Try doing a search, if it's not listed try submitting again and ensure there is a legible title and description and it's in the right category. I'd like to list everyone's site, but you must understand that 1/4 submissions are blatant spam and another 1/4 are keyword stuffed and incomprehensable sentence structures. About 20% of the listings get rejected without even looking at the website.
