Hello, I just finished a freeware that lets you rename files in XP the same way you do in Vista. That is it only select the filename and not the extension when you enter rename mode. Also there is shortcuts to do the opposite for example, that is select only the extension and not the filename. This program is intergrated in the Windows Explorer.
