Hello All, My name is Chris Davis and I run a free forum host called FreePowerBoards.com I've been working to make more of our visitors realize we aren't their average free forum host. You have to admit, when you think free forum host you likely think of the standard multiforum (etc) hosting script with lots of promises and the same features and templates. This is exactly what I have to show our visitors that we aren't when they visit our pages in search of a new forum host. I've gone through several designs over the years. The latest (http://www.freepowerboards.com/site/old.php) was just replaced by the new design here: http://www.freepowerboards.com The last was meant to be simple and to the point. Google's Blogger.com had a simple "just sign up already" approach, which I attempted to mimic. The problem with that layout was it didn't show that we were any different than any other forum host (unless you looked at the site tour). This new layout was made to showcase some of the unique features we offer and thus increase conversion rates. It is mostly CSS driven but has some random tables in it since I made the design quickly. I'll clean up the code later. I look forward to your suggestions and comments.
Thanks for your feedback! Is there anything you think should change/be added? Is the intro voice acceptable? It is generally accepted that you never autoplay music unless you are making a personal geocities site but I feel the voice forces the visitor to hear we are different.
