I appericiate your help
great question. Seeing as nobody stepped up yet - I'll give it shot... Don't hate me if this won't help, I'm too much of a nerd to take the rejection.... ... Can you use VNC for whatever your doing? (probably a stupid question, yet I gotta ask). Without knowing what you're trying to do, it's tricky... I've avoided headaches using VNC when connecting the Linux and Windows together... As you're fully aware - Connecting into windows from Linux is not a problem with any software ..but the other way around is tricky without current versions of VNC (and extras) on both sides to fully authenticate with each other... A simple handshake isn't good enough, your machines need to be swapping spit and that takes a longer than a standard RDC would (couple minutes with my machines). Could there be an alternative we're both missing??? Man, don't hate me if this response doesn't help. All hail Linux.
